Welcome to Rebirth

Welcome to Rebirth, the official internation website for SS501! SS501 is a 5 member boy band from South Korea. The name 'SS501' stands for '5 Super Stars forever (0) united as 1'.

SS501 is made up of members Kim HyunJoong, Heo YoungSaeng, Kim KyuJong, Park JungMin and Kim HyungJoon.

The group SS501 debuted under DSP (DaeSung Park) Entertainment in 2005, with their single Gyeonggo (Warning). While their debut was a success, the group was mostly inactive throughout 2006 due to the throat condition of Heo YoungSaeng, their lead singer. The condition required surgery and then time to recover. The group returned with their first concert, Step Up Concert in Osaka, Japan, and in late 2006 with their first album S.T01 Now.

SS501 is widely popular in Japan and South Korea, and has released many successful hits. Their members have also persued solo acts as well: Kim HyunJoong acted in the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers), Park JungMin participated in the Korean version of the musical Grease and the reality show Human Theater, Kim KyuJong was the main actor in the short 5-minute episodes of SETI (Search for Extraterrestrail Intelligence), Kim HyungJoon will star in the upcoming drama Black City, and Heo YoungSaeng's voice can be heard in many soundtracks, including the OST for Friend Our Legend.
